In my opinion sports and school are much more integrated in the US and Canada than it is here in Europe. Look also how collega sports are so popular and alive there.
Sometimes you hear examples (correct me if I am wrong) of students who can hardly read or write, but they excel in a sport and therefore receive a scolarship for free just because they can throw a ball properly. At the end of the time at school they even get their graduation. In Europe such things would never happen. At least not in Holland.

Like in Germany it is in Holland too. The fact if you want to participate in any sports is Up2you and hence you as an individual pay for it. Hence fully seperated from school.

This time it has nothing to do if you were good enough or not. And I won't tease you this time of having lived as a German .
