South Pattaya is a very busy part of town and many nice options would be available to you for 15k per month especially in the area of Soi Buakeow or on Third Rd where I stayed for 6 months in 06-07.
Just depends how much space you need ?
Don't be put off hiring a scooter, you soon gain confidence and an automatic Yamaha Nuovo is as easy as riding a push bike.
