Good post and I agree with you in general. I think that the problem in the UK is that after the third date a kind of implicit one-way contract is signed whereby you will be monogomous and she will start to take control and make you a better person. It will start with a mild rearrangement of the furniture in your home, and end with throwing out your favourite pullover that you have been happily wearing for years.
In the west sex is a tool which appears to be used to manipulate situations. It is not freely given and is "a big thing". In LOS, sex is trivial, uncomplicated and good fun. I want to have sex but I do not really want my life turned upside down for a quick bunk up and I do like that old pullover too.
I can live happily with my children and do not need a full time life partner. I like to meet up with friends and have occasional sex in the UK. But when I go to LOS I can let my hair down, not worry too much about commitment and enjoy it for what it is. A really good time.
