Hi guys- a bit of a dilemma:

You know when you are experiencing the blackest day of your life- that flight out of Phuket and your only thoughts are of returning asap.

You get home and what do you do- straight on the net, check your diary and you book your next flight.
I did that, got greedy and decided it was going to be a 4wk trip this time (yahooo!)

Then reality sets in, you have a job and is your boss going to take kindly to you telling him you will be off for a month?
ok i get 4wk annual leave but to take it all at once and in the first 3 months isnt really fair and i bet i want to return again before the years out.
I have kept it to myself for 10wks now and april is looming.

Ok they could say no- and i will say well i am sorry its booked.

They could say yes but you are not getting paid for the final 2wks

They could say no and i can hand my notice in the day before (bit drastic) and then come back because they have no chance of replacing me in 4wks.

How would you guys play it? employers how would you react to it?- legally i wouldnt have thought employers can do anything about it?
