I mostly lurk -- I think I lack character in comparison to a lot of these folks.
Will get in touch around then, that sounds good. Will PM my email. I usually pick up a SIM card for the phone when I get local, but not sure if I still have Thailand one.
I looked at the links, but I see two very different sides -- cheap and affordable, but probably have less than I am looking for, and then straight to ridiculously expensive. A villa for $300 a day is way too far on the wrong end for me. I know there is at least
some kind of middle ground, just not sure how to find it.
This would be a lot easier if I could check them out first, but I am not sure if that means nothing will be left.
