BTW hows skype over that ?? I just looked at a lovely house but its a bit remote and I dont know about phone ADSL.. CAT would be a possible option but then I heard skype has a bit of an echo / delay due to higher ping times ??

I played with it and found it to be unacceptable.
However I am finding both Skype and Vonage quality has dropped on both TTT/jinet and on the naked CAT adsl. Both are barely acceptable. I think they are doing some traffic shaping. Calling on my mobile is much better.
You best hope may be to dig into the mysterious tot fiber that is coming on line. I think that is the best hope for physically location freedom. Personally I'm tired of being on this bandwidth leash.
