Another way to interpret 'sponsor' is to do a specific act. Someone I know gets the right amount of money each year (split into 2 chunks) for her son to complete High School. She knows that if she comes to me for more it will fall on deaf ears and waterworks don't work. We will be in the 4th year of this this april- how do I know she is using the money for what it's planned, I don't but it's her son that will lose out if she fcuks it up so the onus is on her to do right by him. As for sponsoring a girl, no way and I agree with what Nicke says above. I have banged enough girls when they are on the phone to tilak asking for more dosh to fall for that one but each to their own.
