Patong garage petrol scam

They must have had a lot of complaints...or the owner reads the forum...all the pumps now have signs on them to the customer>>>

Please check the meter is set to 0 baht before filling or the attendant can overcharge you. Thank You.

So my bike was down to a few drops and I fill it and the meter reads 108baht. I give him 120 and the cheeky barsteward says "OK" and looks at the bike next in the queue. Like he made no sign that he was going to offer me any change. I might have said keep the change if he hadn't blatantly expected me to just ride off letting him keep it, so I said "10baht" to him and off he went to the booth to get it.

So their days of scamming through the meter has stopped but they'll find another way of creaming off a few extra baht.
