I had the misfortune to be informed with less than a week to go last time. It caused me no end of problems with connecting flights coming home.
In my case, after end of March, the airlines schedule was changed and they had no choice but to move me.
Have a look at your airline schedule for your departure date and see if your original flight is still running. It may have been rescheduled like mine.

Its with Opodo. My original flight is still being sold by them, my new schedule has a completely different flight number . The original flight is now about £200 more expensive than i paid aswell ! Have sent them a mail asking to be moved back on to the flight that i booked .
