Regarding accom i would suggest a guesthouse called P L guesthouse which is just down a small soi opposite Christin massage which means its just a short walk to Bangla Rd which is where Soi Eric and MTB is etc. I was there about one month ago and paid 1100 per night when i paid for a week at once which seemed pretty good especially as i think it was still classed as high season..so aybe even cheaper. The rooms there are pretty basic with air con, cable TV hot cold water etc and NO joiner fee which is good. I will have a llok around for website etc and post back.
