I remember on of my dad favorite jokes back in the 70's when microprocessors were just starting to get 'small".

One day microprocessors will become so small and so powerful that they could be implanted in the brain.
The major benefit will be that someday you will be able to have a normal conversation with them.

..... since we aren't there yet, I guess the statement still stands.
