I thought is was time to dig up this very old post and give you an up-date.

I was Not scammed,I am over the moon with my now wife, I have done well.

I landed in BKK late august 06 to be greeted by Nom all 5 foot 2 and eyes of brown.her english was limited ,also her cousin was there and her english is perfect.
2 days later we jet to Phuket and we did spend a night at the MTB. a week in later we catch a train to Buriram , Nom's home town,I did ask Nom to marry me and of course she said yes ,so in her home village ,about 25k's out of town we had what I called an engagement party ,complete with pig heads and all the string and trimmings, all good fun.
I left BKK in sept 06 with a tearful departure to return to OZ.
I did then give Nom some cash every month so she did not have to return to the factory life which she had worked for 19 years.I wanted her to work on getting a visa to come to Oz.the visa is hard work and takes a bit of time ,we did not use an agent.,the BKK immigration department were good and very helpful to Nom.
Nom landed in Sydney on April 1st (yes april fools day)
We spent a few days in Sydney at my parents home and she meet all my family, they all loved her and she calls my mum and now late dad ,mummy and daddy.
we departed Sydney to drive to the far north coast nsw to my home.
WE were married in the local court house in june 06,small wedding with only 10 friends and a reception in the local Thai restaurant ,Nom looked like a thai princess.,my friends said I did scrub up OK.
We are very happy together
Nom has been in OZ now for 12 months ,her englih has improved 500% and can read a little , not bad considering no lessons , we do spend a bit of time with a thai /englih dictionary
Nom has a job at the local hydroponic lettace farm ,her boss told me she is the best worker he has ever had and asked me can I get any more girls like Nom , I told him to get his own.
We have vegies in the garden , my new home is spotless ,she has meet all the
local thai girls and has some new friends. TBC
