i guess my point would be to question why they find a topless women so disrespectful but dont find aggressive lb prostitues roaming their streets and accosting people disrespectful or even girls dancing on a bar or screaming for men to come into a bar
they seem to condone all those
so what part of thai culture is it disrespectful to go topless? i would say it falls under a sort of culture of shyness and discretion?

you are completely right that the thai's living in phuket, even the ones that migrated here have a right to their beliefs and cultural norms even if it is an area built on tourism
but dont you think choosing to be offended by bare breasts but not choosing to be offended by bg's actions or lb actions sort od hypocritical?
