Tata Young is the only daughter of her American father Tim Young, a resident of Thailand for the past 30 years and her Thai mother. He used to work in shipping, got a job in the Far East, fell in love with Bangkok, and then with Tata's mother. Later he divorced her and Tata was brought up between the two of them.
Tata recently became engaged to long-time boyfriend, Prem Busarakamwong, the son of one of Thailand's biggest Muay Thai promoters. In March 2008 announced August 15 as the planned wedding date.
