Thais seem to fully accept transgender, homosexuality, incest, rape which in so many ways seems so alien to the other sides of their culture. I have heard explanations for this and still cannot fully come to terms with it.

Alex running around naked is totally okay, but then he is only 19 months, this is okay in our culture, but an unrelated female will openly touch his willy and even examine it, this in mixed company and totally acceptable to them. But if he strokes or touches another childs head, they all rush up, tell him off nicely, and really look so concerned, 'what a baby has just stroked another baby's head'??

A 22 year old cousin is openly gay, but will kiss other males in front of the family members, or try it on with straight guys, nothing is said, no one bats an eyelid.

These reasons I put the two acts, the LB and topess sunbathing, in different cultural groups of acceptance, wow!! see I told you at the beginning it was going to be hard for me to explain my thoughts, why ever did I get involved in this thread???

so cant we agree that maybe there is some hypocriscy in their culture and views, just as any other place in the world??
