Formerly known as the Sphinx, Inthemode has recently taken over the Managment of the bar/restaurant/theatre and transformed it.

Myself, Deano, Denver and Duncan popped in last night and met up with ITM, who was the perfect host as always. Nice chairs and tables outside (although watch out the chairs are really heavy), you can watch the cars and people going by but feel a nice distance from them, ITM put a nice covered area with white leather setees, looked a great chill out area for you and your latest spinner!! We had a few towers of Chang, each one holds 3 litres and then proceeded to demolish several plates of gorgeous Tapas. ITM is a reknown chef and every restaurant he has run has always had the best food on the island, the Playhouse doesn't let this past reputation down, the tapas were gorgeous, luckily they stopped coming otherwise I might still be there now!!

ITM, showed us round the rest of the building, there is a very nice restaurant on the ground floor, subtle lighting creating a really cozy ambiance, ideal for those romantic meals out and quite a few rungs up the impressing meter from my usual haunts!!

First floor there is a theatre,where they stage plays and soon live acts, I had a little walk on the stage and pretended I was in the Palladium, taking my final bow to ear drum shattering applause!!! Top floor they are going to turn into a cooking school, so you can all learn how to make a pad thai and impress her in doors (when you get home from Thailand)

I would highly recommend the Playhouse to all, good food, good atmoshere and even a really nice place to stop off for a few cold ones before hitting the Bangla or as an alternative night out, think you will be hard pressed to find many places nicer and with Robert in attendance, a good night is guaranteed!!!
