I do like Cathay, they always text me to let me know departure time and gate (in Hong Kong you can check in 24hrs in advance in Central or Kowloon, then just roll up at the airport with your hand luggage, passport and boarding card). Now they have revamped the business class layout I think its OK, I didn't like the old 8 degree seats they used to have. They are also very well organised when it comes to transfers in HKG; mind you HKG airport works like a fine tuned instrument, most of the time.

For my dates in October, business class is over 10,000USD, out of my range. Still In October I'm going to give them a try to Phuket. JFK-HKG via Vancouver and to HKT. My only concern is the last leg is with DragonAir, wonder if I can check my bags from JFK - HKT.
