2-3 years seems to be the average out here Pablo. I've got a sealed one at the moment- will let you know when it dies. I went to a reputable spares place ( yes they do exist!) in Phuket town and the cost was about B1800. As with anyhwere in the world go the the dealership and you'l pay a premium. Tilak probably could have got it cheaper but there you go.
