Hi Guys,
Only 25 days to my trip (pretty excited by now

) so on Wednesday last week I went to the consulate to pick up my Visa. The lady who worked there duly stamped my passport and relieved me of £28, and then handed me a letter and ushered me out of the door. When I had a chance later to actually read the letter, it stated at the bottom something like
"upon arriving in Thailand, a single traveler must have 20,000 B on their person"
Whats this all about? Is it enforced? I was hoping to travel light cash-wise and change my money in Thailand, as I heard the rate was better.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sam
