Thanks alot people, been a great help, Its not too late so I wont go through with the thaiIntro, instead I'll read as much as I can...

Im very excited but yet its going into a big country with no experience, so any thoughts and advice would be appreciated very much

4 weeks is a pretty long time, so you can arrange a few trips after you have spent a few days in BKK. As suggested, fly Air Asia (Welcome to airasia.com...Now Everyone Can Fly...) to Chaing Mai for a week, then back through BKK onto Phuket for a week, spend a few days in Krabi and Phi Phi, then maybe a week in Pattaya before going back to BKK and home.

It really depends on what kind of holiday you are looking for. Chaing Mai has the elephant trekking and temples (as do Phuket), great beaches and nightlife in Phuket, and full on nightlife in Pattaya and BKK.

Keep reading the forum (the search can help you find specific things) and ask away if you need any info.
