Wow! Assaulted?!?! Thats a little too strong of a word eh. Nothing wrong wth encouraging but i don't think elbowing and stepping on someone feet is considered encouraging. 20 years on and off in the Far East probably didn't taught you anything. Where you are staying now might be thailand but it means nothing if you are acting like this. Have fun in KL! Do knock down some old ladies and see what happens.... They might actually think you are teaching people to be courteous.
