I have stayed at the Expat hotel and there are security deposit boxes provided for customer use at reception. this service is free and I'm 99% sure that if you even bothered to read the terms and conditions of your agreement, that you would find a warning in there telling you not to leave anything valuable in your room.
I have no sympathy for you and your loss, you had the resources in place to stop it from happening, but instead, you come on to this forum with wild accusations (i.e. no proof) stating that the staff were to blame.
