the deleted post was a loss of 2k aus also, a popular amount at expat.why do people take large amounts of cash and not use facilites provided? tim have you traveled before? would u leave 2k in an unknown hotel in aus? what sort of assualt? there are police in patong to care of such matters, did you report the loss them for insurance surley you could claim some amount back or did you not have any insurance at all, alot of your problem seems to come down to common sense, but the trouble with that is, it's not that common. im not trying to kick you while you are down , but there is no-one to blame but you. hope your trip improved.
