Because when i go to Thailand 3-4 times a year i am welcomed by Thai's who were born there.
Because they want your tourist money..
I can't say the same for expats who live there,
Because we dont want your tourist money..
think they were born there
No Thank god.
and know everything about Thailand.
I of course dont in any way pretend to know everything about Thailand, however I know far more about Thailands history, both contemporary and longer, than most normal Thais.. The fact that Thais are very ignorant about thier own country (my GF struggles to find large towns on a map), are taught a very biased and incorrect version of the countries history etc is very evident when you live here for a while.
Sometimes you gain a clear perspective from the outside looking in.
