Street Watches
It helps to speak Thai (ie take GF) and go to the back of the shop. The front stuff is for the Tourists and the "good stuff" is at the back usually in a locked cupboard or drawer.
I bought a very good imitation Rolex which held its own against the real thing in the City. No-one could tell the difference. I paid THB 1200 - asked THB 4000. I thought that the fake sports watches were actually better than the more expensive brands.
As to the actual shop I went to one on the Beach road near MacDonalds, now probably unfortunately destroyed, but there are several around and about.
