Yes Nicke, maybe some regulations will make Phi Phi better for security about Tsunami, and other places too in Asia... but i think a tsunami will not happen there before hunderds years. Now all the world is still shocked and authorities want to take regulations to avoid the same disater (I speak about lost lives) but beaches will remain beaches, all over the world, crowded of people... if not now, in a couple of years sure.

I have heard that a pan of one of the Canary's island could fall down to the sea "one day" ... maybe in 1000 years, nobody can say, and it could create the biggest tsunami of the history, reach New York and destroy this city ... is it a reason to evacuate New York now? No for sure.
The nature will always decide where and when it will hit, human people can maybe prevent a few minutes or maybe a few hours before. Just wonder how many people it could save and how many would die if it was a false alert.
2 days ago, a false tsunami alert made undred injuried people and one dead in Chili because panic.

So what can I say? I am happy not to be there when it happened, and feel so sad for the victims, really. I lost friends too in this disaster, so I don't want to be positive or negative, but nowit is time to live again, not to forget sure, but to think about present and future, without fear about what could happen with 1/1000.000.000 chance before one secular.

I just hope no one will take my words wrong, i have a lot of respect for Asian and farangs victms and their family, but we can't be afraid t go back there now, as it can happen everywhere.
