I think it may also be the almost across the board thai business ethic of raising prices when business is hard (to compensate for lack of customers) compared to the more western style of offering discounts or promotions to stimulate more business.

Another thought is some of these girls are maybe thinking better to score one guy a week at 2500 or 3000 baht when they can get it, rather then 3-5 a week at 1000 baht? Less work for them!

There are alot of girls out there who are not the high volume girls earning 30K+ and more a month and are happy earning 10-15K a month (enough to pay for loom and send some money home). With the constant arrival of 1st timers in Patong its not hard to find guys who will pay 2000+ and up, as many new posters on this board have admitted to.

So why wouldnt they want to target or prefer to go with the newbie 2K+ crowd. More money for less fcuking. Newbie shoots his load after 5 mins, hands over 2K/3K. Monger/BM bangs her senseless for hours, hands over 1K. Also more opportunity to try and go for the hook, more opportunity to use all the bargirl 101 lines with the 2K+ crowd.
