I would like to spend one year in thailand, as a tourist (not working). I would like to know if it is possible. I read somewhere that i have to get a 3 months visa then request an extension...but can i repeat that for one year ? Because i'd really like to spend 12 months in Thailand and visit as much as i can
I would like to buy Opened flight tickets and i will have around $7000 CA (or $5700 USD or 220 307 THB in my bank account, after buying tickets)
Is that enough money ? to live there for a year ? to get the needed visas ?
I am opened to suggestion, every day for the next year, until im ready to go. I get more and more informations.
Thank you for your help
Im glad i found this forum

To be honest, if you're going all that way, and for so long, why restrict yourself to Thailand? You could do Laos, cambodia and Vietnam as well, and if you get your timing right, you wont have to worry about visa timing too much. Don't get me wrong, I
love Thailand, but i think you'd be doing yoursellf a disservice if you didn't see as much as you can.
As for the money - maybe, but its pushing it a bit.
