We will be departing Singapore (18th) and will sail to Phuket - 8 days
Fly to BKK overnight (25th)
Capped wirh a Gala evening in BKK on 26th Feb

I have (through this forum), planned a trip as follows:
26th Feb overnight BKK
Feb visit Pattaya and Area
Late overnight train/bus/ferry to Koh Samui
28th– 3rd overnight accom arrange on arrival – poss Seascape Beach resort
4th–8th Fly to Phuket overnight accom arrange on arrival – poss Patong Villa
Have to ARRANGE a few long WALKS or TRIPS solo here
9th–11thEarly ferry to Koh Phi Phi spend few hours on Island. Same day Ferry
to Krabi overnight accom arrange on arrival – poss Au Nang beach
12th Fly to BKK to connect to flight to South Africa.

Two questions
1) Am I taking a chance finding accommodation on arrival??
2)Is driving as unsafe as they say??? I really would have liked to
have done the balance of the trip from Samui (Sarathani)
in a hired car returning to Saruthani to fly to BKK.
I have been put off by having to take the blame if involved in an accident.
Does insurance not protect you???

Sounds like you will have a GREAT trip to look forward to, id realy like to go sailing sometime but i get madly seasick on small boats that doesnt go fast.
As for accomodation, i would book hotel for the first night, can be quite tedious to drag around the luggage.
