You cannot date in the way we do in the west. A female will have a chaperone at all times until marriage which is usually arranged and dont try to tell me that its se*ually liberated.Everthing is done in secrecy to which I made my original statement,and stand by it. I do agree with you that Dubai,along with Abu Dhabi are the only MEastern cities I could consider living in.BTW do you base your opinion on one visit 4 years ago,if so you need to go again.

Dawsey, point taken. you are right. But for me Dubai was a lot different of what I knew when sailing on tankers and general cargo's in the gulf. Be it Kharg or Koramshar in Iran, Basrah, Mina al Ahmadi or Damman/Ras Tanura.
