Paul.

Hi Paul,

The alcohol limit and the police are the least of your worries. That would be a fine, and at the very worst, a short trip to the monkey house.
If you are even trying to weigh up how much grog you can have before you set out on your motorbike then just forget it.

It is dangerous enough going out stone cold sober never mind having a few drinks on board.
I ALWAYS hire big bikes when I go to Thailand, and everyone who knows me knows I drink like a fish, but when i have a bike, i wont even get drunk the night before. Its not worth it.

Also, by the sounds of it, it seems like you arent a regular motorbike rider back in the uk, so you are putting yourself even more at risk.

I reckon most accidents with motorbikes and falangs occur when they are going round corners. Its very difficult to come off in a straight line. Gravel and diesel on the roads (have you seen how road worthy the trucks are !) make it very dangerous.

The road to Karon can be like the Wacky Races.

Hire a tuk tuk.

Ask Marc26 how much he hurt after his little incident. And that was a minor one
