Theres a pet shop in big C between the lower and ground floor levels (look into car park down the escalator) as well as a whole isle of stuff in Lotus. Cant think of one in Patong..

Thai market will have these.. Look for stalls selling plastic crap and they usually have them around.. I prefer the small long metal ones to the clay style ones (easier to clean and more cooking space) the type you see welded on motorbike stalls or selling port satay etc..

Dont know where you looked but Big C and Lotus both have lots of pillows, cusions, etc.. If they are not 'cool' enough central has some nice swag in silks and posh stuff.. Perhaps it was just after Christmas that meant it was low stock or something..

- and where is a good market to buy meat and prawns and stuff like that, the one at the end of nanai?
thanks if you can help me
This is a matter of opinion.. Me I have no problem whatsoever getting my fresh meats / prawns / fish / veg etc from the market.. Yes there are flies and things but you wash what you buy and it helps to be early.. The fish and shellfish especially is great.

The few things that are not so good are A) you wont find lamb here and NZ lamb can be found in the major supermarkets and B) the beef is domestic beef which is tough (but very good for stewing beef.. I like rump steak and dont mind to have to chew a bit so slow cooking domestic beef is ok with me)..

On the flip side my mate wont touch any red meat from the market and insists on all his stuff coming from the supers.. Hygine issue for him so make your own mind up once you look..

Without transport our best (but expensive) supermarket is 'The Deli' on Rat U Thit Rd just pas the post office heading away from Bangla, has T bones, lamb and import beef, nice cheese, etc.. This should change once the new big one opens in Jungceylon soon..
