In Bangkok you can get cheap accomodation in Khaosan Road guest houses never stayed there but there is plenty of backpacker accomodation I assume you are going to Samui which is probably around 300bht a night for cheap guest house.
For 60 bht I think you'll be sleeping on the beach, 300 bht is about minimum you'll pay for a room maybe there is cheaper I don't know, but you get what you pay for.
