Interesting thread..
I'll try not to be holier than thou and just say I think ALL people deserve some sort of dignity, even criminals. Bangkok Hilton does NOT offer such, I really could care less what your crime is, from a human point of view you still deserve to be able to carry out your sentence with a degree of dignity and humanity, even if you did not offer your victims such.
That is but the only thing that seperate man from animal unless one are a hate monger driven by sadistic desire seeking revenge on behalf of humanity, do not bring me into that equation because I belive dignity and humanity is important even if it is while awaiting the execution if that was the werdict.
( I do not belive in the death penalty either as you might gather..)
You might argue a individuals actions does not warrant being treated with humanity and being allowed to keep his dignity, you maybe right but anything less would say more about the system mistreating the individual then the criminal and the crime itself..
