Spending Patterns

There is obviously a balance between spending a lot of money and spending money you cannot afford to. The problem in Patong is that the "attractions" do cost money and it is actually quite difficult to enjoy the attractions on 1000 baht a day. So if you haven't got the money to spend enjoy yourself in a slightly different way.

Thailand has many other attractions apart from the delights of a hot girl pandering to your every need for 1000 baht a night, plus lady drinks etc. I particularly enjoyed the beach at Kalim, the walk up to the view point round the bay and eating in less expensive places.

Holidays in Patong are a kind of dream land and I am sure that the board members are not saying that you cannot come if you will not spend 5k a day, only that if you do come you probably will spend 5k a day if you cruise the bangla road and associated sois. It is just the way it is.

You could of course try putting wax in your ears and tying yourself to the mast of your ship...
