Keeping Wine in Thailand
I am a closet wine drinker. I really do prefer a decent bottle of wine to a cheap bottle but... The problem with wine is that it really does need to be kept a cellar temperatures. If you boil it at 30 degrees and then cool it down again it is ruined to all intents and purposes.
I have bought expensive french wine in Thailand and it has been truly horrible. I think I would invest in a cellar wine cooler before even contemplating bringing over any wine and ask my mates to pack it in their hand luggage and not put it in the hold of the aircraft if it is unpressurized. You will then have some chance that it is still drinkable when it arrives!
