Thanks for your response, and it REALLY is not a question of getting laid, I have no problem doing that, I want the rest of the night out though...just good old normal fun minus "the scene".
In fact, I think Thailand should legalise prostitution. It is so rampant and wide-spread anyway and happens right there in the open everywhere you turn. By legalising it they would protect everyone involved much like the Dutch government does.
My problem, and I will give you an example, is that there is NO alternative for single people who just want to go out have fun and meet. My example, my friend came to visit me, we went to a beach resort near Pattaya. We went to a nightclub at a hotel after having a really miserable time the night before because everywhere we went we were surrounded by BG's and prossies(I see no difference BTW). In the nightclub were tons of "me so horny girls" (as we now call them) and frightened young western boys who just wanted a night out, and of course, the old fat farangs that follow the girls wherever they go. I can tell you not all men are into the scene and I met many guys here who beg me to pretend I am their gf so they dont get harrased etc. I do not care if this goes on, but can't there be some places that are JUST for people who want a night out...no hassles...no sex for pay?
Clearly it is my prob, but I think, judging from what I have seen and guys I have met, a lot of guys also would like that, particularly the younger better looking ones who do not NEED these services but want to pull on their own merits the old fashioned way. Please tell me there is some club at some hotel or ANYTHING that resembles normal going out in Phuket? I am well open to suggestions. Also looking for a pub to just hang out in and watch footie and drink some strongbows(minus having to listen in stereo to a chorus of "Mista Mista 500 baaaht everyting you waaaant")!!
PS Believe it or not they even harrass me. I can't tell you the amount of times I have been surrounded and stuck listening to: oooooh sueeeey sueeey you like girl too or you want boy? I know boy for you!
