I am really trying hard to think of a time when I had to pay a joiner fee. I dont think I ever had.
I went to one hotel 2 xmas ago and agreed a rate for the room. It was good, and I said "Do you have a joiner fee?"
"Yes. 500baht a night"
I told them "Bye bye". As soon as I picked my bag up to leave, they said "ok, ok. For you no joiner fee".
Hon Jim, I am surprised at you paying a fee with the amount of time you spend in Thara. I would tell them I would go somewhere else. You are special customer.
I can see the bastard_s using it as another way of ripping us off.
I wont pay a joiner fee. If the girls stay and have breakfast the next morning then ok, charge for that, but having 2 people stay in one bed is no more work for the hotel (except maybe trying to get the spunk out the sheets!!
