Very good friends of mine are an Australian man and his thai wife, settled in Aus, married 15 years, 2 children, very happy couple. I think due to the vast differences in culture between farang and thai, their views of different subjects such as money and family, there are more things to possibly cause friction.

Certainly id say the odds of a successful marriage are lower, but with hard work and committment there is no reason why things cannot go well.
