my experience is that as long as i told the driver that i already had a room booked they would usually leave you alone. although one time the driver took me to a travel agency even though i had already told him a room was booked. at the agency the lady told me she knows the owner of the hotel and could get me a better rate and such, but i just politely declined a she let it go at that.
