Its a very complex issue.. to say they could quit is all well and good but socio economic pressures are not that simple.. Feeding family, taking care of kids, sick parents etc.. All these things are obligations that create immense pressure.. There is no social state here to help and the grinding poverty of many of the people of Thailand (go and have a look round Klong Toey) is hard to escape..
