God! I looked at the rates for Marriot .. really expensive. For that price, why don't you rent a house or an appartment in a resort ? It will be bigger, with all facilities and you will pay probably less.
Las Feb, I rented a house, 2 rooms, big livingroom, big kitchen, terrace, little garden and a common swimming pool most of the time only for me in Nai Harn and it was cleaned everyday. I paid 30.000 bath for 22 days in high season, and it was my home. There was a restaurant and a pub with pool inside the resort, many bars and restaurants very close, also some saunas. Of course, I needed a car (at least a good motorbike) to go to Phuket Town, Patong, Kamala, Karon or Kata, but I found a Suzuki Carabian for 500 bath/day.
It was so really easy to go to Patong some nights (and if I was too drunk to drive back, i rented a cheap room in Patong for 600 bath, for example at CNN).
It was 20 -25 minutes by car from Patong, 15 minutes from Kata-Karon and a very nice place to stay for quiet holidays, far away from noise.
Just my opinion, everyone has his own preferences, but I spent there the best holidays I had ever had in Phuket..... I must add that I had my GF at home too, not a BG. But I know that many BG's would like so much to spend a few days in this quiet area, as it looks more Thai than farang land
