Onto the point about it being big buisness, Of coarse you have a point but like Abramavich some of the chairman of the clubs only want to win things first and make money second, You only have to look at David Moore's at Liverpool and David Dein at Arsenal to see that, Them two teams have been losing money for years, But every year they still make money availible for players, All Liverpool's winning's from this year (35million) will now be pumped straight back into buying players for next year and Arsenal are putting all there money into the new stadium and I think the difference with Utd is, Because he has now got the club into so much death (500million+), There is a fear that he will ruin the club, And thats the thing I cant get my head around, Why would he want to? If your going to pay so much money for a club, Then the best way to make your money back is by making the club as successful as it has been in the past, Thats why I think they need to give him a chance at least!!

I would agree with that Ally.
As a neutral myself (my local team are Stafford Rangers) - who the hell are they are hear you all cry 5555, I feel that a lot of people love to hate Man U, not yourself of course as you have shown in what you write but I really think it's a bit sad that they spend their lives slagging off the team and the supporters when it does have true supporters who perhaps are not getting angry about takeovers but it also has tossers like many clubs have good and bad.
Man U also have a long and proud history (involving working class fans and players like any team) if anyone would care to check the records and it seems to me that lots of people hate them particularly since the furgerson era - ie : 10 years of domination - = jealousy and spite and a lot of child like dummy spitting.
From my point of view it's only a game and not religion like some people suggest, I understand the passion of the game but feel some take this too far and spend their lives hating. For what ?
To illustrate this, why would this subject about a football team even appear on a phuket website ? I rest my case
Who gives a flying fcuk ? Not me
Anyway, changing the subject, here is a story you may like as you are a liverpool fan Ally.
My parents recently took my gran and great aunt away for a few days to a large mobile home at the seaside. They are sitting there on wednesday night watching liverpool vs AC Milan.
My dad was frustrated as liverpool went 3 goals down by half time as he is a lover of football in general and would like nothing more than an english team to win it, no matter who they may be.
At half time he's cursing liverpools luck and saying to the rest of them, that's it then, my great aunt (who's in her late 80's) says ''I don't know anything about football but I think Liverpool will win this''
True story and if she ever utters any other sporting comments like that I'm straight down the bookies.!!!!!!
