Tacographs have been fitted on trucks for a while now, and despite initial reservations they are accepted as the norm.

I think they now have this scheme in place for young drivers, if they don't drive at night and that sort of thing.

I drive around 40k miles a year and feel like I do my bit in terms of paying; fuel duty around 75p in the pound, trashed car every 3 years, as much in insurance as a London cab, there is no cheap way of driving in our country.

I agree as well, as it goes, those that use the roads most should pay. It has to be said though, we are already a massive net contributor to the chancellor so I think that they will be very careful about this. They cant afford to be without the tax dollars that come from road use.
