Isn't the point to try and stack the odds in favour of a long term (possibly life long) relationship working out,
BEFORE you fall in love? and hence that is why one tries, where possible, to see if a relationship will work with someone with whom one has more in common, including a reasonable back ground.
For sure love is the great equalizer, but loves doesn't always happen at first sight. Love can often happen over a long period of time, and hence the post of nickboyuk makes perfect sense to me.
Perhaps a thread like this is a good thread to list the pros and cons, of a BG vs a non-BG, before one falls in love.
As for skeletons in the closet, there are small skeletons, and there are
BIG SKELETONS. Its all relative.
