Hi,

EVERY time I go to LOS I always use my credit cards as a means of money. I make sure I have a hotel safe, and I withdraw around 10,000 baht every time I go to the ATM. There is about a 100 baht charge each time I use the ATM, but I have always found the exchange rate very good, and because I am taking out a fairly big amount, the 100 baht charge is nothing compared to messing on with Exchange booths and passports.

My cards stay in the hotel safe with some of the money, and I only take out what I need for one days entertainment. My passport is never in the room overnight, and neither is big amounts of money.
I have never been turned over by anybody whilst on holiday.

My friend once had his passport took out of his room by a BG and had to pay her 5,000 baht to get it back.
