Thanks folks, I'm actually flying over from the UK on a free Thai airways flight, won on a prevous flight to BKK in Feb.

just had to pay £67 tax
It's seems great that you can use the flights like buses, just turn up and hop on. Another question is there much difference in booking two single tickets i.e. seperately at each airport on the day, as opposed to a return. I'm similiar to Dodger in that I'd like as much flexibility as possible, as long as it doesn't cost too much.
