Hey Steve, if all she wants is 14k and you think that she is trying hard to get out of the game then maybe you could just help her out?
You could be giving her the only shot she has at living a better life, and that would be quite something to be able to give as a gift. Take a little chance mate, give her the money. If it's the wrong thing to do so what? You made a genuine gesture and shame on her, it only cost you a couple of hundred quid.
If it's the right thing to do then you have done a wonderful thing for no return.
