David Young is head and shoulders the best Thai (scene not native) writer I have read..
Fast Eddies Lucky 7 agogo, Scribe (guy writing BG letters for $$

), Thailand Joy (kinda sad), and Sukhimvit in about that oprder of preference are all really worth reading..
Even Thai girls cry was a sad but good 'scene' read.. Thought Bangkok agogo was average at best..
Phra Farang was kinda interesting, not a great read but good insight to some of the frustrations of being a farang (even a monk)..
Been reading Le Carre (Tailor of Panama as I though Rush played the movie so well) and Greene recently... Finished Rainbow 6 (pure pulp but it was thick and kept me busy for a few days) last night..
I will pick up the 'smiles' series next time I am in BKK... I was not too impressed with the Moore book I read but will probably try them...
Most of the Thai writing is pretty hack stuff IMHO.. Lots of english teachers trying to get by (Young is tho and he is my favorite).. Dont rate Leather much at all but Private Dancer has just been re edited and published..
