4. The advice of not marrying a bar-girl is generally true, though there are plenty of exceptions (me for example). The success rate of BG / farang marriages is maybe one in five. If you take the girl back to your country, the odds get even worse. If you move to Thailand the odds get better. Thais are like fine wines, in general, they don't travel well.
Also, most of the sucessful marriages are not with the stunners. They are far too up themselves and too selfish to make a marriage work.

Another insightful and thought provoking post but when it comes to large age gaps, if one is happy with with relatively short term relationships, then I would have thought a large age gap is irrelevant. However, I'm sure it is true to say that it is highly unlikely that a young woman in her 20's would truly love a man in his 60's.
If I am living in LOS in my 60's and I want a true companion, I think I will look for a woman in her 40's but if I am happy with short term companions and I am still physically fit and able, I will be inclined towards younger women.
By the way, I am delighted to see so much input from middle aged guys like myself. I feel encouraged to keep myself fit and look forward to many more happy years of holidaying in LOS.
